Professor Audrey Heffrom Join us for the first of three educational series of lectures which will open your eyes and feed your brain! This lecture explores Terrorism in Latin America TODAY -- the untold stories and overlooked events. ABOUT THE GUEST SPEAKER: Dr. Audrey Heffron-Casserleigh currently serves as the Director of the Center for Disaster Risk Policy and the Florida Public Affairs Center at Florida State University, where she is a recognized expert in the fields of terrorism, emergency management, disaster health planning, and national service programs. "Although far from the origins of terrorism, Latin America and South America have contributed and aided in shaping what terrorism is today. Terrorist groups all around the world are implementing the ideas of Carlos Marighella. The spread of strategies in terrorism has made these groups more effective and difficult to fight. As the exchange of thoughts and ideas continue, we can only expect terrorism to elaborate and expand."
